Fishes
Gymnothorax kidako
Kidako moray
Family Muraenidae. The kidako moray is distributed in southern Japan except
for Okinawa, found in the coastal reef. Length to 80cm. Because of the
grotesque looks, morays are thought fierce fishes, but never attack it
of their own accord. But their teeth are sharp, therefore, if you are bitten
by them, you probably have serious injury. If you carelessly put your hand
in their living crevice, you may be bitten on your hand, so be careful.
The kidako moray tastes good, and food boiled down in soy of this moray
is one of the specialties of Kushimoto. |
