Invertebrates
Octopus cyanea
Day octopus
Family Octopodidae. Length to 60cm. Though the figure is really different,
octopus is classified into the group of the shellfish. The day octopus
has big ring pattern near its eye. It lives in the warm sea, and eats crabs,
lobsters and shellfishes, etc. They can change their form and color, and
catch their feed quickly, so they are great hunters. They have their lairs,
and have the habit of piling stones and shells near the entrance. Their
soft body can pass through the gap, and they sometimes run away from the
tank in our aquarium. |
